Why it matters

Fonts, metadata, barcodes, version history, creation tool. Evidence of editing, inside the file itself.
Boost
Does the account belong to the applicant, does the maths add up, is the address real, and what does the document actually say.
A perfectly clean file can still fail on Confirmation of Payee, and a Boost finding will move the verdict on its own.

Running balance does not reconcile
Every transaction extracted and recalculated against the printed running balances. You get the exact line where the maths breaks, not just a flag that something is off.
